History Background

In February 22, 1973, Equitable Computer Services, Inc (ECS) located in Binondo, Manila, Philippines was incorporated as a full service computer solutions provider in the Philippines. Its early development projects provided data entry services, creation of telephone directories and programming services.

Since then, it has developed and offered a broader range of IT services; namely, sale of POS terminals and their maintenance support, systems administration, credit card processing, call center, programming services for financial sector, and network management and operation of data centers.

In 2005, ECS engaged in the operations of the IT infrastructure business. As a result of the continued growth of ECS services as well as due to the strength of corporate business in the sale of IT infrastructure products and services, ECS decided to spin off in 2008 the business of IT infrastructure products under the name of EQUICOM, INC with its office in Makati, Philippines.

EQUICOM INC was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on January 8, 2008.

1. Thin Client Technology is a natural technology sector for us given our virtualization know-how;

2. We believe that storage business will expand since Intel-based platforms has matured so it has to be looked upon separately from server hardware
